Hearts and Hands 4 Paws 5K

Hearts and Hands 4 Paws 5K is a fundraising event that benefits Hearts and Hands 4 Paws and its work to help animals remain in their homes, reduce overpopulation, and support local animal welfare organizations. The organization assists with needed veterinary care and spay and neuter services; in 2024 it supported 402 spay or neuter procedures and provided veterinary assistance to 359 animals.

The event program includes multiple participation options and a virtual alternative. Distances offered:

• 3.1 miles (virtual)

In-person options at Muskingum Park in Marietta, OH, include a 5K run, a 5K walk, a 5K run with a dog, and a 5K walk with a dog. The in-person course is a flat 3.1 mile loop that starts and ends in Muskingum Park, travels along Front Street to Indian Acres Park, and returns on the Marietta bike path.

Awards are given to male and female overall finishers and to age group winners for the in-person events. The virtual 3.1 mile option does not include awards. Registration fees listed for the event are $25.00 for in-person entries and $15.00 for the virtual entry. T shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by October 10, 2026.
