Hearts and Hands 4 Paws provides support and resources to allow animals to remain in their homes, reduce animal overpopulation, and aid animal welfare organizations. The organization helps people pay for needed veterinary care and for spay and neuter procedures.
In 2024 the race helped provide 402 spay or neuter procedures and veterinary assistance funding for 359 recipients.
The event offers multiple participation formats. Distances include:
- 5K in-person events including run, walk, and dog participation
- 3.1 Miles virtual participation
The course is a flat 3.1 mile loop starting and ending in Muskingum Park, traveling along Front Street to Indian Acres Park and returning on the bike path in Marietta, Ohio.
