Heart Well Homestead 5K

The Heart Well Homestead 5K takes place on June 7, 2026 at Rulf’s Orchard on 531 Bear Swamp Road in Peru, New York. The event is also called the "Superhero Strides 5K." Proceeds from the event support Heart Well Homestead, a nonprofit organization that provides safe housing and support for homeless pregnant and parenting mothers and their children in Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties.

The event includes a 5K run/walk. There is also a separate Kids 1K Fun Run. Superhero costumes are encouraged. Participants can expect prizes for race winners and best costumes. All runners receive a commemorative t-shirt. Food is provided by Adirondack Food Therapy, and there will be face painting and other family-friendly activities.
