Heart Beats 17th Annual Fun Run and Walk

This is the 17th annual community event organized by Heart Beats Children's Society, scheduled for June 13, 2026 at East Lake Regional Park in Airdrie. The event combines a run and a family walk to raise funds for programs that support children and families living with congenital and acquired heart conditions.

Participants choose between offered distances and registration fees apply. Funds raised support peer connection programs, family services, and other care initiatives. The previous year the community raised over CA$90,000, and approximately CA$18,000 was added through matched funds. The event page lists teams, participant and fundraising leaderboards; current totals on the page show CA$3,404.40 raised and 92 participants.

There are free kids' activity areas, including CHAMPS Camp and Offbeats, with programming focused on movement and heart-healthy living.
