Heart and Ghoul 5K and 1‑Mile Spooky Sprint
United Way Wayne and Holmes Counties presents a Halloween themed running event on October 31, 2026 in Historic Downtown Wooster, OH. The starting line is at 151 North Market Street, Wooster, OH 44691.

The 1 Mile Spooky Sprint is an untimed fun run with goblins and goodies along the course and finishers nutrition. The 5K includes electronic chip timing, on-course support, a finisher's medal, and post-race nutrition. Premium race shirts are guaranteed for 5K registrations completed through October 4, 2026; shirts are not guaranteed for late registrations or for the Spooky Sprint.
Standard registration through October 4, 2026 is $20 for the 1 Mile and $35 for the 5K. Late registration from October 5 through October 30, 2026 is $25 for the 1 Mile and $40 for the 5K. Touchless packet pick up is available on race morning.
Prizes are awarded 1st through 3rd for male and female 5K finishers. The 5K course starts at North and Market Streets, follows Market north, Bowman, Woodland, Northwestern, Beechwood, runs a loop, and returns to North and Market. The 1 Mile course is an up-and-back on North Market Street.
All proceeds benefit United Way funded programs and remain local. The event is presented by Wooster Color Point. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
