Heal the Planet 5K, 1 Mile, and Beach Clean-Up
The event takes place on September 20, 2026 at Charnow Park on Hollywood Beach, 300 Connecticut St, Hollywood, FL 33019, US. It combines timed road running with a community beach cleanup on the same day.

The running portion is chip timed and managed by Victory Sports. The course is described as flat and fast and runs along the beach boardwalk. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group category.
A community beach cleanup follows the race. The cleanup focuses on removing litter and debris from the sand and shoreline.
All money raised benefits Heal The Planet, a local 501(c)(3). Heal The Planet provides free education, resources, and community programs including the SEED program, which offers six week and customized options for Title 1 Broward County schools focused on nutrition, life skills, mindfulness, and environmental issues. Programs also include Young SEEDs in the Park and monthly beach cleanups. Recent impact figures include outreach to over 15,500 local children, about 1,500 athletes served nationwide in 2025, more than 12,000 south Floridians reached through community programming, and over 3,300 pounds of garbage removed from the ocean through monthly cleanups with the City of Fort Lauderdale.
