About the race
The Heal and Rise Together 5K is a community walk and run held on October 3, 2026, at Merritt Park in Dardanelle, Arkansas. The event is hosted by River Valley Runners and benefits the River Valley Shelter for Battered Women and Children in Russellville. All proceeds and collected goods go directly toward local domestic violence shelter programs and emergency services.

Registration details provided by the organizer note opening and closing dates and entry fees for each format. In-person 5K run and walk registrations open August 14, 2026, and close October 2, 2026, with a listed fee of $35. The 1K kids fun run registration opens August 14, 2026, and closes October 2, 2026, with a listed fee of $15. The virtual 5K registration opens September 18, 2026, and closes October 2, 2026, with a listed fee of $45. Registrations by September 21, 2026, are noted as guaranteed for a shirt and medal; same-day registration is limited and may incur a higher fee.
An on-site essential needs drive will collect diapers, baby wipes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, and new socks and underwear for women and children.
