Headwall Hustle - July 26, 2026
The Headwall Hustle is a 15 km race segment of the Elk Valley Ultra held at Fernie Alpine Resort in Fernie, BC. The trail route climbs through Cedar Bowl to the Headwall, then traverses into Timber Bowl for a steep descent to the finish line.

The 15 km race has a limit of 200 racers. Categories include Male, Female and Non-Binary, with age groups Youth (19), 19-49, and 50+. Youth entries for the 15 km (age 19) require prior contact with the race director before registering.
All racers must complete the online RCR event waiver before completing registration and have their RCR Event Release Agreement ID available at checkout. Ensure the first and last name on the waiver match the registration account. Registration closes on Wed, Jul 15.
Entry fees for the 15 km are listed as Early Bird and Regular pricing, with regular pricing noted to start March 1. Combo pricing is available for participants entered in both the Elk Valley Ultra and the Headwall Hustle.
Included race services: swag bag, Stag Leap sticker, technical socks, finish line brunch buffet, category trophies, free racer photo downloads, and a fully stocked aid station.
