26th Annual Headingley Fire Department RUN/HFD
The event takes place on May 23, 2026 at the Headingley Fire Department, 126 Bridge Road, Headingley, MB, Canada. The course crosses and follows the Assiniboine River and goes through the residential streets of South Headingley. The race starts and finishes at the fire department.
This event is part of the Manitoba Runners Association Classic Race Series. Distances offered include:
- 5 km run with chip timing
- 3 km run or walk
- 5 km youth categories by year of birth
Race kits are available for pickup the day before at City Park Runners, 2091 Portage Ave, and on race day. Each race kit includes an HFD race T shirt, the race program, a 2026 custom race bib, a raffle number for post race draws, coupons, and chip timing.
Awards are presented to the top three finishers in boys and girls divisions for students in Grades 3 to 12. The event features more than fifty post race draw prizes and a range of family activities on site, including a DJ, a Fire and Life Safety Trailer, multiple bouncy castles, a photo booth, mascot appearances, and hot food and refreshments.
Charity partners include the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation and the True North Youth Foundation supporting Westgrove, with a committed provision of over 60 week long summer camp spaces.
