Head Over Teal 5K & 10K
Head Over Teal 5K & 10K is presented by the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation during GYN Cancer Awareness Month on September 19, 2026. The event takes place at The Preserve, 616 Preserve Parkway, Hoover, AL 35226. Proceeds support the foundation’s GYN cancer programs, including early detection research, awareness education, and support services for patients and caregivers.

The 5K and 10K individual and team categories have been merged into single registration options; the standard 10K registration may be used for team entries. Race registrations open May 18, 2026 and close August 1, 2026; the registration fee for race entries is $30. The Sleep-In T-shirt option remains available through September 19, 2026 and also has a $30 fee. Sleep-In participants will not receive a bib and can join a team; they may add $7.50 for shirt shipping.
Since its founding in 2009, the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation has granted funding for ovarian cancer early detection research, provided education on GYN cancer prevention and symptoms, and offered emotional, educational, and financial support to patients and families.
