Head Over Teal 5K and 10K
Head Over Teal is a running event held at The Preserve, 616 Preserve Parkway, Hoover, AL 35226, on 09/19/2026 during GYN Cancer Awareness Month. The event includes multiple participation options and a T-shirt-only sleep-in choice.

- 10K or 10K Team
- Sleep In (T-shirt only)
Registration for the 5K and 10K opens 05/18/2026 and closes 07/31/2026 for the race entries. The sleep-in T-shirt option remains open through 09/19/2026. The posted registration fee for each option is $30. As noted by the organizer, the individual and team categories for the 5K and 10K have been merged into single registration options; team participants may register under the standard 10K event. Sleep-in participants do not receive a bib; an optional $7.50 fee can be added for mailing a T-shirt.
Proceeds benefit the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation and support programs related to gynecologic cancer. The foundation focuses on early detection research, awareness education, and support services for patients and caregivers. Since 2009 the foundation has granted more than $800,000 for ovarian cancer early detection research and reports community education and direct support activities reaching thousands of people.
