About the race
The Hayward Musky-Fest combines a community festival with organized running events along Main Street in Hayward, Wisconsin. The event is organized by the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce as part of the Musky Festival weekend, which celebrates the region's fishing tradition and local culture.

- 10K (6.2 Miles)
Registration information is published in advance. Standard registration carries a fee of $35.00 and a higher race day fee applies for late entries. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Registering by May 30 guarantees a Musky Walk/Run T-shirt in the selected size.
Packet pick-up and late registration are scheduled on Main Street the day before the race. A free Minnow Run for children 12 years and under takes place on Main Street and 3rd Street shortly after the main running events; this youth race is free of charge.
Festival activities across the weekend include a queen crowning, sidewalk sales, a large handmade art and craft show, live music, children's games, a car show, food booths, a catch-and-release fishing contest, a fishing photo contest, a carnival, and street dances on Friday and Saturday nights. The weekend concludes with a Grand Parade on Sunday along Main Street. Awards for running divisions and age groups are presented after the races.
