Hayward Musky-Fest
The Hayward Musky-Fest running events take place on Main Street in Hayward, Wisconsin as part of the 76th annual Musky Festival weekend. The event program includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 10K Run, with a free Minnow Run on Main Street for children 12 years and under immediately following the main races.
Race options include:
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
Registration opens on February 1, 2026 and closes on May 30, 2026. Standard registration fee is $35.00. Registration includes a Musky Walk/Run T-shirt; registering by May 30 guarantees a shirt size. Race day registration is available at a different fee. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Packet pick-up, including race bibs, is scheduled on Main Street the day before the races.
An award ceremony follows the race. Prizes are presented to the top male and top female finishers in each division and for various age groups.
The runs are one part of a larger festival program that also includes sidewalk sales, an art and craft show, live music, children’s games, a car show, food booths, a catch and release fishing contest, a fishing photo contest, a carnival, street dances on Friday and Saturday nights, and a Grand Parade on Sunday down Main Street.
