Hayterdale Classic MTB Race and Trail Run 2026
The Hayterdale Classic is a weekend of mountain-bike races and trail runs held at Hayterdale Trails in Addo, Eastern Cape, on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026. The programme includes separate trail-run and MTB race days with several distance options.
Distances offered include:
- 21 km trail run
- 12 km trail run
- 6 km trail run
- 40 km MTB and E-bike
- 20 km MTB
- 12 km MTB
Entry fees for listed classes range from R180 to R380. Example fees from the published classes include R380 for the 21 km trail and the 40 km MTB, and R180 for the 6 km trail and the 12 km MTB. Late entries are available at registration for an additional fee of R100.
Age categories are set per distance. For trail runs the minimum ages are: 21 km - 16 years and older, 12 km - 8 years and older, and 6 km - all ages; participants under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult. For MTB events some minimum ages are specified, for example the 40 km E-bike category requires participants to be 19 years or older and the 40 km MTB requires 14 years or older.
