About the race
The Hayterdale Classic MTB Race & Trail Run takes place 12 and 13 September 2026 at Hayterdale Trails, Addo, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The two-day event features trail running on Saturday and mountain bike racing, including e-bike entries, on Sunday.
Distances offered:
- 21 km Trail Run
- 10 km Trail Run
- 6 km Trail Run
- 40 km MTB
- 20 km MTB
- 12 km MTB
Entry fees for the trail run are R380 for the 21 km, R280 for the 10 km, and R180 for the 6 km. MTB fees are R380 for the 40 km including e-bikes, R280 for the 20 km, and R180 for the 12 km. Schools entries for primary and high school learners are R50 per category. Late entries are accepted at registration for an additional R100 each.
Age rules are specified per distance: trail runs require minimum ages of 16 years for 21 km, 12 years for 10 km, and 6 years for 6 km. MTB ages are 19 years plus for 40 km e-bikes, 15 years plus for 40 km MTB, and 8 years plus for 20 km and 12 km. All participants under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult.
