Hawkeye Turkey Trot
The Hawkeye Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day in City Park, Shelter #6, 200 E. Park Rd, Iowa City, IA 52246. This is presented as the first Hawkeye Turkey Trot and described as the only Thanksgiving Day 5K in Iowa City.
The event program includes the following races:
- 5K Hawkeye Turkey Trot (race; registration fee $35)
- Herky Turkey Tot Trot for young children - ribbon and post-race refreshments (registration fee $10)
Tot Trot participants will not receive a 5K medal or shirt; they will receive a ribbon and post-race goodies and refreshments. Race routes will be formalized and announced later.
A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa. Non-perishable food items will be collected for donation on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
