Event overview
The Haunted Trail Run 5k/10k is a trail running event held on October 31, 2026, at French Shelter Park in Cincinnati, Ohio (7154 Knoll Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45237). The event is part of the Alpine Trail Race Series Season 3 (ATRS 3.0) and features a Halloween-themed course with games for children and adults and holiday gift card giveaways. The event offers the following distances:

- 10K (2 loops of the 5K route)
All finishers receive a series finisher medal and a custom finisher T-shirt. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and a best costume award is given at the live race.
Course, rules and series details
The race is run on local trails. The organizer reserves the right to change the race route. There is a 3-hour course time limit for both distances. BIB pickup begins 45 minutes before the start and ends 10 minutes before the start. Walkers are welcome; dogs are not permitted on the course. Entry fees are non-refundable and the organizer may cancel in extreme circumstances.
This event awards series points toward yearly ATRS awards. Series winners receive travel opportunities, including tickets to travel to China to attend APTRC 2026 and options to participate in an ITRA and UTMB index race of 30K, 55K, or 100K.
