Haunted Jersey City Halloween 5K
The event takes place on October 31, 2026, at the foot of Essex Street and Hudson Street on the Jersey City waterfront. It includes two timed running events and encourages participants to wear costumes.

Registration details differ by event. Registration closes on September 7, 2026. The 5K registration opens on June 29, 2026 with a fee of $30. The 1 Mile Fun Run registration opens on July 18, 2026 with a fee of $15.
Race services and extras listed for participants include professional chip timing, awards for top finishers and age groups, music on the course, and free skyline photos. Costume prizes are awarded in several categories, including Best Overall Costume, Best Group Costume, and Most Creative.
Overall race awards cover the top three male and top three female finishers, plus the top three male and top three female in each age group: 19 and Under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over.
