Haunted Horsepower 5K Run/Walk

The inaugural Haunted Horsepower 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY. The event is sponsored by Metron and benefits Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky.

The 5K takes place on a closed course on the motorsports race track and features notable elevation changes described as fun but challenging. The 5K uses chip timing with online results and offers a race shirt and packet pickup on race day. Awards for the 5K include overall finisher awards for top male and top female, plus age group awards with categories that include 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29 and continuing through 70 & over.

A Kids Dash for participants 10 and under is held before the 5K. Radio partner for the event is WGGC. Registration details for the listed events note a registration fee of $30.00 for the 5K and no fee for the Kids Dash; registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes October 10, 2026.
