Haunted Horsepower 5K Run/Walk
The inaugural Haunted Horsepower event takes place at NCM Motorsports Park, 505 Kimberlee A. Fast Drive, Bowling Green, KY 42103. The event uses a closed 5K course on the motorsports race track and features notable elevation changes along the route. Chip timing and online results are provided for the 5K. A race shirt will be provided and all 5K finishers receive a medal.
Awards for the 5K include overall top male and top female, plus age-group prizes in multiple brackets, including 12 and under, 13–15, 16–19, 20–24, 25–29 and 70 and over. A Kids Dash for ages 10 and under precedes the 5K; each Kids Dash finisher receives a special prize. Packet pickup is available on race day.
The event is sponsored by Metron, has radio partner WGGC, and benefits Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky. Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes October 10, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $30.00 for the 5K and free for the Kids Dash.
