Harvestfest 5k : Hungry Horse, Montana
The Harvestfest 5k is a community running event held in Hungry Horse, Montana, with the start and finish at Canyon Elementary School, 200 North Street. The 5-kilometer course is an out-and-back route that follows a gravel road adjacent to the South Fork of the Flathead River. Strollers are allowed, with a note that part of the route is on gravel.
The event is chip timed and awards medals after the race. Registration has a base fee of $25 and opens June 1, 2026, closing August 1, 2026. Race-day swag is guaranteed for participants who register before September 23, 2026. Late registration is available on the morning of the event for an additional $5 fee. Packet pickup is available at Canyon Elementary School the day before the race.
After the running portion, the event hosts a community Harvestfest with a children’s fun run and costume parade, dessert auction, pie-eating contest, kids’ crafts and games, a chili cook-off and cornbread competition, a free chili lunch, yard games weather permitting, and other fall activities. Proceeds support the Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and a portion will be donated to West Glacier Elementary School to support school programs and materials.
