Harmon Field Half Marathon

The Harmon Field Half Marathon & Morris Fun Run is scheduled for April 24, 2027 in Tryon, North Carolina, at 117 Harmon Field Road. This is the inaugural running of the event following repairs to Harmon Field after damage from Hurricane Helene in 2024. Proceeds will support Harmon Field special projects.
The program includes two separate races:
- 13.1 miles Harmon Field Half Marathon
- 1.68 miles Morris Fun Run
The half marathon follows a scenic out and back route through the Hunting Country of Polk County. The Morris Fun Run is a shorter loop around Harmon Field intended for families and children. The half marathon uses a four hour cut off time. T shirt registration closes on March 31; shirts are not available after that date.
Awards for the half marathon are given to top male and female overall and masters, and to the top three male and female finishers in each age division. Age divisions begin at 12 and under and continue through 80 plus, with typical decade ranges in between.
A course map is provided for each event. The Morris Fun Run references Morris, the Tryon horse landmark located at the intersection of Trade Street and Pacolet Street in downtown Tryon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
