Hardman Long 2027
Hardman Long is a long distance triathlon held in Ireland on 28 August 2027. The event comprises three continuous legs:
- Swim in the Lakes of Killarney
- Cycle the full length of the Ring of Kerry
- Run a full marathon through Killarney National Park
The swim is in open water and open water experience is mandatory. A wetsuit is required for the swim and hard-shell helmets must be worn during the cycle leg. Participants must be 18 years or older on 31 December 2027 and must provide Triathlon Ireland membership details or evidence of a One Day Membership Licence.
Entry options listed include an individual entry fee of €200 and a relay entry fee of €220. The organiser offers an optional third-party insurance product for additional protection of the entry fee. The published refund policy allows a 50% refund or deferral to 2028 for withdrawals received on or before 20 July 2027; refunds are processed on 21 July 2027.
The event has adopted a green policy: race t-shirts are optional, finishers receive medals, and single-use plastics are being removed with advance notice on water dispensing arrangements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
