About the race
The Hardman Long in Killarney combines open-water swimming, road cycling and a full marathon in a sequence covering local landmark routes. The swim takes place in the Lakes of Killarney, the bike leg follows the full length of the Ring of Kerry, and the run is a full marathon through Killarney National Park. All three routes are signposted and marshalled on main junctions, and route maps are published by the organiser. Entry is limited to 250 competitors and registration closes when that limit is reached.
Competitors must hold either a full Triathlon Ireland license or a one-day license purchased through Triathlon Ireland. Number pickup is scheduled for the evening before the race at a venue to be confirmed, and a mandatory race briefing follows number pickup. There are cutoffs for each discipline and an overall event cutoff of 15 hours. Prizes are awarded for the top three overall finishers, with listed prize values for first, second and third places.
