Hardin County Fair 4-H 5K Run/Walk
The Hardin County Fair 4-H 5K Run/Walk takes place at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Glendale, Kentucky on July 11, 2026. The course covers 3.1 miles over mixed terrain including trail, gravel, and asphalt around the fairgrounds.
The event is presented in connection with Hardin County 4-H, a youth development organization that offers project clubs such as Horse, Livestock, Dog, Shooting Sports, Bee Keeping, Rabbit and Poultry, and Teen Club, along with changing special interest SPIN programs like cooking, sewing, gardening, and robotics. The organization aims to build leadership and practical skills through clubs, camps, and events.
Registration fees are tiered: $30 for participants 18 and older, $20 for ages 9 to 17, and free for children 8 and under. Teams of five or more receive a $5 discount per runner. All paid entries registered by June 27 will receive a race-day t-shirt; additional shirts may be available on a first-come, first-served basis on race morning. Packet pickup and same-day race registration are available on race morning.
Dogs are permitted on the course when kept on leash. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top male and female finisher in each age category: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-26, 27-32, 33-38, 39-44, 45-52, 53-59, and 60 and over.
