About the race
The 15th Annual Harbor Point Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026 at Harbor Point Square in Stamford, Connecticut. The event is a complimentary, untimed 5K open to runners, walkers, families and friends. Costumes are appreciated and the event is planned to proceed in all weather unless thunderstorms force a cancellation.
Participation requirements include an RSVP and an online waiver for all participants age 18 or older. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian provide the RSVP and sign the waiver on their behalf; organizers will follow up with registrations made on behalf of another person and may cancel RSVPs that do not meet these requirements. Walk up registration is available in person for those who did not RSVP.
The event partners with Person to Person, Inc., a nonprofit that operates food pantries, mobile food delivery and programs such as emergency financial assistance, clothing support, summer camperships for elementary students, and college scholarships with mentorship for first generation students. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items such as cold cereal, oatmeal, pasta and sauce, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, canned tuna or chicken, dried or canned beans and rice, granola or snack bars, and fresh or canned fruit. Donations of five dollars or more enter a raffle for a one hundred dollar gift card to a Harbor Point restaurant.
