Happy Tails 5K Dog Run
The event includes a 5K, a 10K and a 1 mile doggie/family run at Granada Beach, 5000 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803. An optional Poker Run is available as a race add-on with card stations along the route.
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
- 1 Miler - 1 Mile
The course is a flat, paved beach path along the Long Beach shoreline with ocean views. The 5K is an out-and-back course and the 10K consists of two loops of the 5K course. On-course water stations are provided for people and dogs.
The Poker Run option places card pickup stations on the route. Participants collect four cards during the course and a final card at the finish to form a five card poker hand. Top hands receive prizes.
Leashed dogs are welcome. The 5K and 10K use professional chip timing with instant results via ChronoTrack. Race day features free photos, finisher medals for all participants including dogs, overall and age group awards, and a finish area with music and vendors.
