Event Details

The races benefit the Mercy Health Springfield Cancer Center. The event is organized in cooperation with officials from the City of Springfield and Wittenberg University. The concept for the race originated from family members running a 13.1-mile training route from Springfield to Yellow Springs to raise funds for cancer treatment. The first official Happy Half Marathon was held in 2012.

Registration operates on a tiered pricing system based on the date of sign-up. A referral program offers a $5 registration refund for every five people referred.
