Hapi on the Hill - L'Etacq Hill, Jersey
Hapi on the Hill is a hill-based running event set in the natural amphitheatre of L'Etacq Hill. The event raises awareness and funds for Dementia Jersey and uses the message "The aging you want tomorrow begins with the choices you make today."
Runners use a single course of approximately 500 metres. Depending on category, participants complete a set number of ascents and descents on the same loop and are required to keep to the right side of the course. Organisers may adjust capacity in any category for safety or logistical reasons.
Solo race distances:
- 5k - 5 ascents/descents, Green Category, Age 11+
- 10k - 10 ascents/descents, Blue Category, Age 15+
- Half-Marathon - 19 ascents/descents, Red Category, Age 17+
- Marathon - 38 ascents/descents, Black Category, Age 18+
Team relay options cover marathon, half-marathon, 10 km and 5 km distances with specified minimum ages and team sizes per category. Parking for participants is planned at Battery Moltke and the Old Milano Bars car park at La Saline slip on Vert Rue. The start/finish is located at the entrance to Stinky Bay car park, and prize giving will take place at the Watersplash venue.
