Event details

The Hanwell Hammering is a trail running event on May 1-2, 2026 at Hanwell Recreation Park, Nature Park Drive, Hanwell, NB, Canada. The event includes a Friday evening introductory race and a main race day on Saturday. Saturday events will use chip timing. A new single-track trail was added for 2026. The standard loop is about 5 km with roughly 60 m of elevation gain. One aid station at the start/finish area will provide water and nutrition. There are washrooms at the Community Centre, two porta potties at start/finish, and first aid located near the start/finish. The event is cup-less, so participants must bring their own cup. On Saturday massage students from Eastern College will be available and post-race showers are provided. Awards are given once the top three finishers for a distance have completed the course. A kids run, the Hanwell Hotdog Hunt, is scheduled on Saturday for ages 3–10.
