10th Annual Hangry Run
The 10th Annual Hangry Run takes place in Dacula, Georgia, at Harbins Park. This event functions as a fundraiser for the Bush Chapel AME Zion Church in Winder. Proceeds from the registrations are used by the organization to provide assistance to individuals and families who lack access to sufficient county or agency resources.
The event offers two main distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The courses are located within the park grounds and consist entirely of paved paths. Participants can expect a route that includes several gentle hills and scenic views of the local landscape. Both distances follow a route that winds through the park toward a bridge. Participants in the shorter distance turn around at the Palm Creek bridge to return to the starting area. Those taking part in the longer distance continue for an additional 1.5 miles beyond the bridge before making their turn.
The start area and packet pickup are located at the pavilion situated behind the park bathrooms at the entrance on Luke Edwards Road. Awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km categories. Event shirts are reserved for participants who complete their registration by April 1st.
