EquiSol Race Series - Winter Solstice 5k
The Winter Solstice 5k is the fourth of four races in the EquiSol Race Series, with one event each quarter held on or near an equinox or solstice. The event benefits the Gwinnett Parks Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organized to support Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation through volunteer labor and monetary assistance.
The run is listed as a 5k distance (3.1 Miles) and takes place at Lenora Park, 4515 Lenora Church Rd, Snellville, GA 30039. Registration for the race opens on 2025-12-17 and closes on 2026-10-31; the registration fee is $30.00. Shirts are guaranteed for entrants who register by 2026-11-30; shirts after that date are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the registration table following the event.
Medal distribution is staged because medals for all four events are produced in advance: the first 200 participants on site will receive medals at the event. Additional medals will be ordered and either shipped to participants or made available for pick up when ready. Each race medal magnetically links with the others to form a larger medal map of Gwinnett County and its parks. A referral incentive provides a $20 refund to participants who refer five others.
