EquiSol Race Series (A Park for All Seasons) - Winter Solstice 5k
The Winter Solstice race is part of a new 2026 four-race series that benefits the Gwinnett Parks Foundation. It takes place on December 19, 2026, at Lenora Park, 4515 Lenora Church Rd, Snellville, GA. This event is the fourth in the series, with one race each quarter near an equinox or solstice. Each race awards a medal that magnetically links with the others to form a larger medal map of Gwinnett County parks. If a medal is missed and spare medals remain, a virtual option may be offered to receive the missing piece.
The event features a 5k distance and a multi-race bundle option covering all four events with a 10% discount per event. The first 200 runners will receive medals on site; additional medals will be ordered and either shipped or held for later pickup. A $20 refund is offered for referring five others. Performance Race Services and the Gwinnett Parks Foundation are listed as partners. The Gwinnett Parks Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization formed to support Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation through volunteer and monetary assistance. Restrooms are located near the parking lot. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by 11/30/2026; after that shirts are available at the registration table after the race on a first-come, first-served basis.
