About the race
Hangman’s Kloof is a trail running event held at Naval Hill in Bloemfontein with the Bloemfontein Bowling Club listed as the event location. The route passes various historical and natural landmarks on Naval Hill, including the White Horse on the eastern slopes, the Lamont-Hussey Observatory, and remnants linked to the Anglo Boer War. Portions of the area fall inside the Franklin Game Reserve where several species of game are kept.
Two route options are offered:
- 10 km long route with 300 m elevation gain
- 6.5 km short route with 150 m elevation gain
