Be Active OCR & Trailrun : Middelwater Farm, Bloemfontein
Be Active OCR & Trailrun is an obstacle course and trail running event held at Be Human - Middelwater Farm, located on the R30 Brandfort Road about 30 km outside Bloemfontein in the Free State. The open obstacle course is a cross country style route of approximately 5 to 6 km with about 20 obstacles drawn from standard courses. The open category requires no qualification and is not subject to competition rules.
The event also offers a trail run that follows the same route but skips the obstacles, and a kids obstacle race for younger participants. Kids ages 6 and up are welcome; children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
Finishers receive a medal, free beer, and professional photos. Suggested items to bring include a towel, dry clothes, and cash for food and drinks on site. Participants are advised to wear performance clothing made from water wicking materials and comfortable shoes they have trained in. Outside food and drink are not permitted for the venue, and pets should have identification if brought.
