Hampton Rotary Firecracker 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
The event is scheduled for July 4, 2027 at Hampton Community Park, ALCOA Pavilion, 3101 McCully Road, Allison Park, PA 15101. It includes a 5 kilometer run and a separate 1 mile walk that use routes through the park.
- 5 km run through Hampton Community Park.
- 1 mile walk that follows a scenic route and allows walkers to avoid the run up Topnick.
Registration opens March 1, 2027 and closes July 3, 2027. The registration fee is $30.00. Participants in both the run and the walk receive a t shirt, a participation medal, a goodie bag, drinks, pizza, and fellowship; walkers receive a different bib and do not receive finish medals.
Awards are given for top finishers by gender and by age group. Prizes include Top 3 overall male and female and Top 3 in each age group male and female. Age groups are: 11 and under; 12 to 14; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60 and over.
Funds raised support educational and charitable activities of the Hampton Rotary Club, including meals on wheels delivery, high school and technical school scholarships, and at least one annual project addressing food insecurity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
