hella hamburg half marathon : event information
The hella hamburg half marathon on 25 October 2026 is organized by BMS Die Laufgesellschaft mbH. The race is a certified, measured 21.0975 km point to point course that is eligible for record lists. The route is predominantly flat, fully asphalted, marked at each kilometre and will be held traffic free under police and marshal supervision. The start area is on the Reeperbahn (U St. Pauli) and the finish is at Karolinenstraße / Messegelände (U Messehallen / S Dammtor).
Entry is limited to 24,000 participants. Eligible are athletes born in 2010 or earlier. Registration is online; the registration deadline is 6 October 2026. The standard entry fee is 85.00 Euro plus a 3.00 Euro timing fee, which is waived if a personal BMS chip is provided or purchased during registration. Start numbers are personal and non transferable; packets must be collected at the Messegelände on the published collection days. A transponder for timing is integrated on the back of the bib.
There are seven on course refreshment points offering hella naturell, with hella activ at the final three, and a variety of drinks and food in the finish area. Sport bag storage, showers, toilets and a free bicycle cloakroom are provided. Limited parking is available near the finish; use of U Bahn or S Bahn is advised.
