Halloween Sunset Dunes 5K : San Francisco, CA

The Halloween Sunset Dunes 5K is scheduled for October 25, 2026, on the Great Highway Path at Taraval and Great Highway in San Francisco. The course is described as flat, fast, and out and back along the paved Great Highway bike path.

There is a free 1/2 mile Kids Run for children ages 12 and under that takes place immediately following the 5K at the same start and finish location. Finisher ribbons are given to all participants, and place ribbons are awarded to the Top 5 overall male, female, and nonbinary runners.

Parking is available as free street parking along Lower Great Highway and at Ocean Beach. The event is held rain or shine and has a no refund policy. For safety and insurance reasons, baby joggers, dogs, and the use of headphones are not permitted.
