Halloween Sunset Dunes 5K - San Francisco
The Halloween Sunset Dunes 5K is a running event on October 25, 2026, held on the Great Highway Path at Taraval and Great Highway in San Francisco, CA 94121, United States.
The course is described as flat and fast, following an out and back route along the paved Great Highway bike path. Participants are invited to wear Halloween costumes.
Distances:
- 5K on the paved Great Highway bike path.
- 1/2 mile Kids Run for ages 12 and under.
The free kids run takes place at the same start and finish location and follows the 5K. Street parking is available along Lower Great Highway and at Ocean Beach. All finishers receive finisher ribbons; place ribbons are awarded to the top five overall male, female, and nonbinary finishers. The event is held rain or shine and refunds are not offered. For insurance and safety reasons, baby joggers, dogs, and the use of headphones are not permitted.
