The Halloween Hustle takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Lake St Clair Metropark, hosted from the Thomas Welch Activity Center with the start/finish line outside the building. Distances offered include:
- Fun Run - approximately 0.5 mile
- 5K Run/Walk
- 8K Run
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 8K Run/Walk
Event prices listed in the source are $25 for the Fun Run, $35 for the 5K and 8K (price increases after July 28, 2026), and $40 for each virtual event. Early packet pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, October 22 at Hanson's Running Shop, 8409 Hall Rd. Friendly dogs and strollers are allowed. The charity partner is Maggie's Wigs for Kids. Family or groups of four or more receive a $5 discount per registrant.
Included items, awards and contests
Registered participants receive a long sleeve fully sublimated tech shirt, a glow-in-the-dark finisher medal, chip timing, race photos, after-race refreshments, and eligibility for age-group prizes. Awards are given to the top male and female in each age group: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. A costume contest is part of the event with categories for Most Creative (two divisions: up to 15 years and 16 years and over), Best Crazy Hair, and Best Group (two or more members).
