Halloween Hustle 5K | 8K | Fun Run
The Halloween Hustle takes place on October 24, 2026 at Lake St Clair Metropark in Harrison Township, Michigan, hosted from the Thomas Welch Activity Center with a start and finish located outside the building.
Race options include:
- Fun Run (approximately 0.5 mile / 1K)
- 5K Run/Walk
- 8K Run
- Virtual 5K and Virtual 8K with packet mailing included
Virtual registrations include packet mailing; packets will be mailed close to the event and depend on the arrival of shirts and medals. Early packet pick-up is scheduled for October 22 at Hanson's Running Shop, 8409 Hall Rd.
All participants receive a fully sublimated long sleeve tech shirt, a glow-in-the-dark finisher medal, chip timing, event photos, and after-race refreshments. Awards are given to the top male and female in each age group: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
A costume contest includes categories for Most Creative (two divisions: up to 15 years and 16 years and over), Best Crazy Hair, and Best Group (two or more members). Friendly dogs and strollers are welcome. The event lists Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids as a charity partner. Family or groups of four or more receive a $5 discount per registrant.
