Halloween Forest Night Run - Muratie
The Halloween Forest Night Trail Run takes place at the Dirtopia Trail Centre on Muratie Wine Estate on Saturday, 31 October 2026. Participants follow forest singletrack and vineyard climbs to a ridge with sunset views before entering wooded trails with themed surprises along the route.
The event offers two marked distances:
- 10 km trail route
- 5 km trail route
A facepainter will be on site for costumes. Every finisher receives a special 2026 Halloween medal. Costume prizes are awarded by lucky draw for individuals and matching couples; prizes include vouchers, footwear and Muratie wines. There are no podium or category prizes.
On arrival and after the run there will be live music from Akkedis, cold wine and beer, grab-and-go meals from Muratie, and a relaxed evening atmosphere. A route refreshment station provides energy drinks, jellies and fruit, and Coke is available at the finish. An event photographer will capture action and costumes.
Entry fees for pre-entry are listed as R185 for the 5 km, R225 for the 10 km, and R90 for children (pre-entry only). Entries are limited and pre-entries close on Thursday, 29 October 2026. Late entries are available at the venue on the event day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
