Race Information
US Road Running organizes a multiple-distance running event on the Appomattox River Greenway in Colonial Heights, Virginia. The event features four specific distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
Participants are required to register online via RunSignup, as there is no registration available on-site. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the event and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start. Parking is available at the Appomattox River Greenway Roslyn Landing, though spaces are limited.
Course Details
The event utilizes two separate out-and-back courses. The 5K and 10K share a course where the 5K completes the route once and the 10K completes it twice. A different out-and-back course is used for the longer distances; the Half Marathon requires four laps of this route, while the Marathon requires eight laps.
A total time limit of six hours is enforced for all participants across every distance. Participants who complete their respective courses receive finisher medals. There is also an opportunity for participants to take part in a best costume recognition.
