Hairy Legs, Sunday 10 May 2026
Hairy Legs is an all ages cross-country event held at Sheepcot Recreation Ground in Goring-on-Thames, RG8 0EN. The event includes short children's races and longer teenage and adult races on a hilly, wooded cross-country course. Races start and finish at Sheepcot Recreation Ground. There is no parking on site.
Children's races are organised by school year. Young competitors are accompanied on the course by the Hairy Legs Panda. Teenage races use one loop of the main course. The adult challenge can be completed solo or as part of a relay team. In a Parent-Teen relay the teenager runs the first loop. Each loop is described as 6 Hairy Legs km and the course has not been formally measured.
There is a free t-shirt for every participant who registers before the entry closing date. Entertainment and refreshments are available in the race village. Hairy Legs is a charity event and net proceeds support two local primary schools. Entries for the various races close on 27 April 2026.

- Little Legs 1: one lap of Sheepcot Recreation Ground (Reception to Year 3)
- Little Legs 2: two laps of Sheepcot Recreation Ground (Years 4 to 6)
- Teenage races: one loop of the main cross-country course
- Adult solo: two loops of the main course
- Relay teams: two runners, one loop each; Parent-Teen option with Teen first
