About the race
The Hairy Gorilla Half Marathon & Squirrelly Six Mile is a unique trail running event held at Thacher State Park in Voorheesville, NY. Celebrated for its festive Halloween atmosphere, participants are encouraged to wear costumes, with the course decorated in spooky themes including gorillas, squirrels, and personalized grave markers. The race features two distances: a 13.1-mile half marathon and a 6-mile run, both sharing much of the scenic course through the park's trails and fields.
