Hagley 5K/1K Along the Brandywine
The event on 04/24/2027 is a community run and walk at Hagley Museum in Wilmington, taking place along the Brandywine River and through the museum's 235 acres of historic grounds. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1K Family Fun Run
Proceeds support the Hagley Field Trip Fund; registration fees provide underserved students with educational visits to the museum. The organizer reports that more than 2,600 students have participated in field trips supported by the fund.
There is no age requirement for either distance. Corporate and community teams are encouraged. Bib pick-up and check-in are located in front of the Hagley Library. Awards are presented for overall male and female finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and older.
