Hagley 5K/1K Along the Brandywine
The Hagley 5K/1K Along the Brandywine is an annual run and walk hosted at Hagley Museum in Wilmington, DE. The event takes place on the museum grounds and follows routes along the Brandywine River through approximately 235 acres of historic landscape. It is the 8th edition of this event.

Proceeds support the Hagley Field Trip Fund. Registration helps provide underserved students with educational visits to the museum; the program has already served over 2,600 students. The event has a fundraising goal of $4,500 for 2026.
Logistics include day of bib pick-up and check-in in front of the Hagley Library. Corporate and community teams are encouraged and participants may create or join teams. After registering, participants receive a unique referral URL; when five friends register using that URL, the referrer receives a $10 discount off the 5K fee or a $5 discount off the 1K fee.
Awards are presented for overall male and female finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and older. Registration includes free admission to Hagley Museum for the two weeks following the event through May 10, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
