Hagg Lake Triathlon & Trail Festival : June 20–21, 2026
The event takes place at Bobcat Cove, Henry Hagg Lake, Gaston, OR. It is a two day multisport festival that combines pool open-water swim segments with road and trail bike and run legs, plus paddle and aquabike options. Relay teams and a Friends and Family non competitive division are offered.
Distances and race formats include:
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500m swim, 20 mile bike, 10K run
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 10 mile bike, 5K run
- Off road Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 14 mile bike, 5K run
- Duathlon and Off road Duathlon formats
- Paddle Triathlon and AquaBike options
- Half Marathon Trail Run
- 5K Trail Run
- Relay team options and Beast Medal for competing both days
The race follows USAT rules; drafting is not allowed, helmets are required for the bike, and music devices are prohibited on the bike. During running segments only one earbud may be used so participants can hear course instructions. Aid stations are placed along the course with water approximately every two miles; athletes should carry hydration and fuel on their bikes. Porta potties will be available at the start/finish and at points along the run.
Onsite tent camping is permitted in a designated area with fees per tent; vehicle camping and RVs are not allowed. Parking access requires a day pass and athletes receive a parking pass with packet pickup. Awards are given to top overall and age group finishers, with special divisions such as Clydesdale and Athena and team relay awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
