Event Details
The Hagbourne Fun Run & Walk is an annual, family-friendly event held on the early May bank holiday Monday. It started in 1990 and raises money for local causes and cancer charities.
Course Information
The run covers 4.5 miles (7.1 km) on a multi-terrain course. It starts and ends in East Hagbourne, South Oxfordshire. The route goes through West Hagbourne, Upton, and Blewbury, mainly on footpaths and bridleways with one short public road section. It includes stiles and kissing gates, and can be muddy and uneven in parts. The course is not suitable for running buggies.
Participation
The run is open to runners aged 6 and over. Entrants under 9 must be accompanied by an adult. The walk is open to all ages. Dogs are not permitted for runners. There is a maximum of 400 runner places.
Prizes and Logistics
Prizes are awarded in many categories including first, second, and third for men and women; age categories (40+, 60+); junior categories (U16, U12, U9); a local resident category; and for best fancy dress. Race number collection for runners is at Hagbourne Village Hall on the event day. After the run and walk, there is entertainment and a prize giving at the Village Hall. Hot food, homemade cakes, and drinks are available for purchase.

Online entries close subject to availability. The organizers state the event usually sells out. In the event of cancellation, entrants can transfer to the following year, donate their entry fee, or receive a refund (minus booking fees). No refunds are given for non-attendance.
