Hadley Run : 18th annual Not your ordinary Run-of-the-Mill race
Hadley Run takes place in Hadley, Michigan, on July 4, 2026, with start and finish at the Mill Museum just south of the stop light. The course uses 100 percent paved town streets, is flat, and is mostly shaded except for the Starr mile. Parking is available in the church lot across the road.
The event offers a single distance, 5K. Registration opens at the end of March and fees increase by month: $20 in April, $25 in May, $30 in June and $35 in July. The field is capped at 500 participants. Timing is provided by a new timing company, Midmichigantiming, with individual chip start and finish times; finish times are available immediately via an on-site kiosk and live online. Overall male and female winners receive $100 each; awards are also organized by 10-year age groups beginning with ages 6-15 and extending to 66+.
On race morning there is free Tim Hortons coffee, bottled water and refreshments at the start and finish, and a water station on the course by the Post Office. Finishers may pick up a medal from a table at the finish. Net proceeds benefit the Hadley Historical Society and other local charitable causes. Major sponsor support includes Choice One Bank and Meijer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
