HACEMOS NTX Scholarship 5K Run/Walk
The HACEMOS NTX Scholarship 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraising event on September 12, 2026 at the University of Texas at Arlington, 500 W Nedderman Dr, Arlington TX 76013. The event supports the IMME Becas / HACEMOS NTX Scholarship Program, which awards $1,000 to selected two-year college students and $2,000 to selected four-year college students.
The event offers two participation formats: an in-person 5K on a certified course at the UTA campus and a virtual 5K that participants can complete remotely. Registration fees cover race entry; virtual registration includes shipping for the participation medal. In-person finishers who complete the course receive a finisher medal. A unisex race shirt is available as an add-on for an additional $15 through August 17, 2026, and extra shirts will be sold on race day on a first-come, first-served basis.
Logistics note that free parking is available at Lot 34 and the West Campus Garage. Snacks and water are provided for participants only. Pets are not allowed on the course per UTA campus policy. Prizes will be awarded for overall male and female finishers. The organizer states the event proceeds will be used to fund scholarships and that refunds are not offered; the director may delay or cancel the event for safety reasons.
