GYO Freedom Fun Run 5K
The Gentry Youth Organization presents the 3rd Annual Freedom Fest 5K, titled "Racing Towards Brighter Futures." The event takes place in Gentry, Arkansas at the Gentry Sports Complex on July 4, 2026. The running route passes through downtown Gentry and coincides with the town's Freedom Fest.
The organizing group states a mission to inspire local youth to participate in sports and to develop sportsmanship, dedication, and commitment. The event includes both a youth fun run and a 5K open run, and offers a supporter registration option to contribute without a race entry fee.
Awards are specified for first, second, and third place finishers in male and female divisions; those winners will receive a fireworks package. Every runner receives a medal and a sparkler at the finish line. Registrations completed by June 1 include a t shirt.
