GYO Freedom Fun Run 5K
The Gentry Youth Organization presents the 3rd annual GYO Freedom Fun Run 5K on July 4, 2026 in Gentry, Arkansas. The event takes place at the Gentry Sports Complex and is routed through downtown Gentry to coincide with Gentry's Freedom Fest.
The event supports the organization’s mission to inspire local youth to participate in sports that build sportsmanship, dedication, and commitment. The run is listed as a 5K and is open to all ages and both sexes.
Entry fees are listed as $30 for the 5K with a higher fee of $35 after 6/9/26. Registrations completed by June 1 will receive a t-shirt. A discounted entry fee of $21 is available for military, veterans, police, fire, EMS and other first responders; the t-shirt offer for this category also applies to registrations completed by June 1. A supporter option is available at no charge to make a donation.
Awards are planned for first, second, and third place male and female finishers, each receiving a fireworks package. Every runner receives a medal and a sparkler at the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
