GYO Freedom Fun Run 5K
The Gentry Youth Organization presents the third annual community 5K held in Gentry, Arkansas on July 4, 2026. The course is routed through downtown Gentry and the event is organized to coincide with Gentry's Freedom Fest; the festival follows the race.
The event aims to inspire local youth to participate in sports and to develop sportsmanship, dedication, and commitment. It is billed as a community running event that supports the Gentry Youth Organization's mission of encouraging youth involvement in local athletics.
Prizes are given to first, second, and third place male and female finishers; each of those winners receives a fireworks package. Every participant receives a medal and a sparkler at the finish line.
Registration is offered for a single race distance, the 5K. Standard registration is listed at $35, with a higher fee after July 3, 2026. Registrations completed by June 1 include a t-shirt. A discounted registration price of $21 is available for military, veterans, police, fire, EMS, and other first responders; that discounted registration also includes a t-shirt when completed by June 1.
