Gunstock Trail Run 5K & 10K
The event takes place on October 17, 2026 at Gunstock Ranch, 56-250 Kamehameha Hwy, Kahuku, HI 96731 on Oahu's north shore. The ranch spans 900 acres at the base of the Koʻolau mountains and includes the Hawaii Legacy Forest, a protected area with native Hawaiian trees.
The races run on trails through a working horse and cattle ranch and include sections of rugged terrain. Both distances follow the same route for about one mile before the trail splits and the 10K continues on a longer loop through the ranch. Both routes pass a lookout with views of windward Oahu before descending to the finish.
Distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Registration details include early bird pricing prior to 9/17/26 and listed entry fees of $50 for the 5K and $60 for the 10K. Student and military discounts are available using the codes STUDENT2026 or MILITARY2026 for a $10 reduction. Register by September 25 to guarantee a race t-shirt. Organizers advise arriving 45 to 60 minutes early for parking, check-in, and timing chip pickup and recommend sturdy trail shoes due to the working ranch terrain.
