Gullane Beach Triathlon 2026
The Gullane Beach Triathlon is described as Scotland's original sea swim based standard distance triathlon and will mark its 30th annual event on 6 September 2026. The event takes place at Gullane Bents on the East Lothian coast, about 18 miles east of Edinburgh on the A198.
Participants can enter the full standard distance race or compete as a team of three with each member completing one discipline. New entry options for 2026 include Swim Bike only and Bike Run only categories. Entry categories have set capacities and a closing date of 02 August 2026 at 23:59.
Distances:
- Swim 1500m: 2 lap sea swim in Gullane Bay with a beach run
- Bike 42km: multi lap course on quiet roads near Gullane
- Run 10km: two laps, mainly off road, includes sea views
A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not a British Triathlon Home Nation member. Race Pass costs for this event are £2.00 plus £0.08 service charge for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 plus £0.32 service charge otherwise.
