The Gullane Beach Triathlon 2026
The Gullane Beach Triathlon is the 30th annual sea swim based standard distance triathlon in Scotland, scheduled for 06 Sep 2026 at Gullane Bents in East Lothian, about 18 miles east of Edinburgh on the A198. The event offers individual entries, three-person relay teams, and new Swim-Bike and Bike-Run only options.
Entry fees are listed for each category and the event has a closing date of 02 Aug 2026. A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not British Triathlon Home Nation members; for this event the Race Pass costs are £2.00 plus £0.08 service charge for those aged 24 and under, and £8.00 plus £0.32 service charge otherwise. The organiser pays the platform service fee of 4 percent with a minimum of 50p.
Race information will be sent to competitors prior to the event and will be posted on the event Facebook site and the event website approximately one week before the race.
Distances and format:
- Swim 1500 m: 2 lap sea swim in Gullane Bay with a beach run
- Bike 42 km: multi-lap course on quiet roads close to Gullane
- Run 10 km: 2 laps on a mainly off-road circuit with coastal views
