Event Overview
The Guild Wheel 3 Ways 3 Distances is a mass group running event held on the Guild Wheel in Preston. This event is organized specifically for participants tapering for spring marathons. It is conducted as a group run rather than a competitive race, with the primary objective of maintaining a steady pace in a social environment.
Running Distances and Locations
Participants can choose from three different distances, each starting at a different location before joining the route:
- 21 miles: Starting at Avenham Park Pavilion.
- 14 miles: Starting at James Hall & Co on Bluebell Way.
- 7 miles: Starting at the Preston Sports Arena on Tom Benson Way.
Pacing and Support
The organizers provide pacers for all three distances to ensure the group stays together. All participants are expected to follow a consistent pace of 11 minutes and 30 seconds per mile. This structure ensures that no participant runs alone during the event.
Each distance has a participation limit of 200 runners. All entrants receive a bespoke medal upon completion of their chosen distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
