Event Overview
The Guild Wheel 3 Ways 3 Distances is a mass group participation event held in Preston. It is specifically designed as a training run for individuals tapering for spring marathons. Unlike traditional competitive events, this is not a race; instead, it focuses on group cohesion and maintaining a steady pace throughout the duration of the activity.
Participants can choose from three distinct distance options, each with its own starting location across the city:
- 21 miles starting from Avenham Park at the Pavilion.
- 14 miles starting from Bluebell Way at James Hall & Co.
- 7 miles starting from the Preston Sports Arena on Tom Benson Way.
Participant Support and Experience
To ensure a consistent experience for all participants, pacers are provided for the entire duration of the run. The group maintains a set pace of 11 minutes and 30 seconds per mile. This structure ensures that participants are never running alone and can focus on their tapering requirements in a social environment.
Registration takes place at the specific headquarters associated with the chosen distance. The event is limited to 200 participants per distance category to manage group sizes. Every entrant who completes their chosen distance receives a bespoke medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
