Event Overview

The Guess Your Mile event is a unique running competition at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The main event involves a one-mile race where the winner is not the fastest runner, but the one who most accurately predicts their own finish time.

How It Works

Participants write down their predicted time for a one-mile run before the race starts. All runners start together and complete the one-mile course. The goal is to finish as close as possible to the predicted time, with no timing clocks or splits provided during the run. Prize money for the top three finishers is allocated from a collective pot based on total registrations: 50% for first place, 30% for second, and 20% for third.

The event also includes a free 400-meter dash for kids.
