Gruesome Twosome at Aldergrove Regional Park
Gruesome Twosome is a trail running event held at Aldergrove Regional Park offering partner or individual entries across multiple distances. The event donates 5 CAD from each registration to BabyGoRound and includes a finisher medal for all participants.
The park features rolling meadows, mixed forests and wetland habitats. Trails are wide and hard packed with dirt and gravel, moving in and out of forest and fields and offering mountain views. The 11 km route follows a mix of flat sections and undulating hills; the 22 km distance is two laps of the 11 km course. The 5 km route is mainly flat. A 1 km Hooray Fun Run is available for all ages.
Participation is limited to 300 runners for 2026. Registration follows the announced schedule and early bird pricing ends April 1, 2026. A virtual option is available; virtual participants receive their race package by mail and the same finisher medal.
Included services and features:
- Bib number and timing via a timing app.
- Finishers medal for all participants.
- Aid stations stocked with water, electrolyte mixes, snacks and medical support.
- A smoothie or smoothie bowl at the finish provided by Stormy's Smoothies.
- Strollers adapted for trail use are permitted on designated distances.
- Overall awards for top three finishers per distance and draw prizes from sponsors.
