Growler Gallop Atwater 10 Mile & 5K
The event takes place in Detroit on September 27, 2026, with start and finish at Atwater Brewery. Courses run along the Detroit Riverwalk and include miles around Belle Isle.
Distances offered:
- 10 Mile USATF certified course along the Detroit Riverwalk and around Belle Isle
- 5K flat course along the Riverwalk with a turnaround before the Belle Isle Bridge
The event includes in-person and virtual options for both the 10 Mile and the 5K. Economy registration choices are available that omit the hoodie, finisher medal, and beer ticket. Separate divisions accommodate Agape Project athletes who use racing chairs, with chariot runner and rider categories intended for those athletes and their volunteers.
Registered in-person participants receive a Growler Gallop hoodie, a finisher medal that is part of the Trivium Michigan Mega Medal Series, and a beer ticket valid for Atwater craft beer for attendees 21 and older. Timing is chip based and race-day photography is provided. Pacers are offered for the 10 Mile course. Cash prizes and growler awards are listed as part of the event awards.
The race is the fifth in a six-race Trivium Michigan Mega Medal Series. Club entries can earn team perks and compete in a club competition where every finisher adds points and 10 Mile finishes count double. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
