Groton Memorial Walk & Kids' Fun Run : Bluff Point State Park
The Groton Memorial Walk & Kids' Fun Run takes place on October 4, 2026 at Bluff Point State Park in Groton, CT. The main walking event covers a distance of 2 miles. A separate Kids' Fun Run includes medals and arts and crafts activities are available for children.
Registration opens on June 29 and closes in early October; there is a brief scheduled closure around October 3–5 and day-of registration carries a higher fee. Registration fees listed for the events are $30 for the Memorial Walk and $10 for the Kids' Fun Run. T-shirts are included with registration, though shirts are not guaranteed for those who register after September 24.
Participants may fundraise or form teams to provide additional support. A memorial sign option is available for those who raise $30 by September 24 to display a photo along Memory Lane; this request is made through the event registration process.
The event is held rain or shine and the organizer policy states there are no refunds. Proceeds support The Cove’s free programs, including The Family Program, Camp Compassion, Virtual Programs, Summer Programs, and Professional Development, which serve grieving children and families across Connecticut.
