Event Overview

The Grog & Dog is a relay event. It takes place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. The venue is Infint Ale Works at Midtown Station, with the running course looping around Tuskawilla Park.

Race Format

This is a team relay for groups of 2 to 4 runners. The event has a 40-minute time limit. Each team member completes one leg consisting of three tasks in this order: run a 1-mile loop around the park, eat one hot dog, and drink one beer. Only after finishing all three may the runner tag the next teammate. The winning team is the one that accomplishes the longest total distance within the time limit. Solo participants can be placed on a team or attempt the challenge individually.

Rules and Details

Hot dogs and beer are provided, with a non-alcoholic beer option available. Participants must finish the entire hot dog and entire beer before tagging the next runner. Rules specify no dunking hot dogs and no spilling beer. All participants must be 21 years of age or older with valid identification.
